Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Annalakshmi ("Lettuce & Sprouts", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects your information when you use the Lettuce & Sprouts app and services (the "Service"). We follow India's Information Technology Act, 2000 and the SPDI Rules, 2011.
1. Information we collect
- Account details: name, email address, phone number.
- Google Sign‑In (optional): if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and Google account identifier from Google to create or sign in to your account. If your email already has a Lettuce & Sprouts account, we link Google to it only after you confirm in the app. We never see your Google password.
- Delivery details: your saved delivery addresses and the location (map coordinates) you select for delivery.
- Order information: salads ordered, schedules, 26‑Day Plans, saved favourites, dietary notes you provide, and order history.
- Payment information: processed by Razorpay. We receive a payment status and reference; we do not collect or store your card/UPI/bank details.
- Support & grievance data: messages you send through in‑app Help & Support, the orders/deliveries you link to a request, and any screenshots or photos you choose to email us.
- Push notification token: if you allow notifications, a device push token so we can send order, payment and support updates. It is removed when you sign out, and you can disable notifications any time in your device settings.
- Technical data: basic device/app information needed to operate and secure the Service.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account (including email verification, Google Sign‑In and password reset).
- To prepare, schedule and deliver your orders and 26‑Day Plans, and to check that your delivery location is within our serviceable area.
- To process payments and refunds via Razorpay and confirm order status.
- To contact you about your orders — emails (e.g. verification codes, invoices), in‑app notifications and device push notifications (order, payment, delivery and support updates).
- To receive, track and resolve your support requests and grievances through in‑app Help & Support.
- To improve our menu, service and app, and to keep the Service secure.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. How we share information
We share information only as needed to run the Service:
- Delivery personnel — your name, address/location and order, to deliver it.
- Razorpay — to process payments and refunds (subject to Razorpay's own privacy policy).
- Google — if you use Google Sign‑In (subject to Google's privacy policy). The app also uses Google Maps (Android) / Apple Maps (iOS) to let you pick your delivery location, and Firebase Cloud Messaging / Expo to deliver push notifications.
- Service providers — e.g. email providers and hosting, strictly to operate the Service.
- Legal — where required by law or to protect our rights and users' safety.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Data security
- Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text.
- Communication with our servers uses encryption (HTTPS).
- Card/payment data is handled by Razorpay (PCI‑DSS compliant); it does not pass through or rest on our servers.
- No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
5. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, and meet legal/accounting obligations. You can request deletion (see Your rights).
6. Your rights
- Access & update: view and edit your contact details in the app's Profile tab.
- Deletion: request deletion of your account and personal data by emailing support@lettuceandsprouts.com (some records may be retained where required by law).
- Notifications: device push notifications can be turned off any time in your device settings; signing out also stops pushes to that device. We contact you about your orders; you may opt out of any non‑essential messages.
7. Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
8. Third‑party links/services
The app uses third‑party services (e.g. Razorpay, maps/geocoding). Their use of data is governed by their own privacy policies.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be notified in the app or by email, with a new "Last updated" date.
10. Grievance Officer & redressal
The fastest way to raise a grievance is in‑app: Profile ▸ Help & Support, where you can file a request, link it to an order or a specific delivery, message our team, and track it to resolution (including refunds or redelivery where applicable).
